1. Introduction
Link A Job (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides an online recruitment platform connecting job seekers and employers in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information, and the rights you have under applicable Trinidad & Tobago law, including the Data Protection Act.

2. Data Controller

3. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically:

a. Provided by you
- Name, email, phone, address, date of birth (if supplied), CV/resume, identity documents, certificates, employer references, job preferences, and other application materials.
- Employer/Client info when recruiters post jobs (company name, contact, job details).

b. Automatically collected
- IP address, device/browser information, cookies, page interactions, referral URL, and usage analytics.
- Application metadata (date/time applied, job ID).

4. Legal Basis & Purpose for Processing
We process personal data to:
- Facilitate job listings, applications, interview bookings, account creation and profile management;
- Communicate with you (notifications, application status, marketing if opted-in);
- Verify identity or credentials where required by an employer;
- Improve and secure our platform (analytics, fraud prevention, abuse detection); and
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., record keeping).


Processing of personal data is performed based on legitimate interests, contract performance, consent (where required), and legal obligations under Trinidad & Tobago law.

5. Sharing & Recipients of Personal Data
We may share personal data with:
- Employers & recruiters: when you apply to a job or explicitly permit us to share your profile; employers may receive your CV and contact info.
- Service providers / processors: hosting, storage (e.g., cloud), email, analytics, payment processors, and background-check vendors acting on our instructions.
- Government or law enforcement: where required by law or to respond to legal process.
We require third-party processors to maintain appropriate security and to process data only on our instructions. Employers are responsible for verifying candidate information and ensuring lawful use of candidate data.

6. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, web beacons and analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel etc.) to improve the site, remember preferences, and serve ads. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser; for detailed cookie controls see our Cookie Settings section on the site.

7. International Transfer of Data
Some processors or services we use may be hosted outside Trinidad & Tobago. We will take reasonable steps to ensure adequate protection for any international transfers (contractual safeguards or other measures).
